    LA VUELTA AL MUNDO<\/mark><\/p>\n

    Mi visita a Korea del Norte<\/a> fue algo muy interesante para m\u00ed, pero llegar all\u00e1 desde aqu\u00ed es tremendo viaje.<\/p>\n

    El pa\u00eds queda casi al otro lado del planeta desde Colombia. Bueno, m\u00e1s t\u00e9cnicamente eso ser\u00eda como en Indonesia, pero ustedes entienden lo que quiero decir (\u00bfcierto?<\/strong><\/em>).<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    El peso colombiano val\u00eda algo, yo ten\u00eda alg\u00fan dinero, algunas millas, y ten\u00eda cierto tiempo disponible. Las circunstancias eran a todas luces mejores que las que hay ahora, al momento de escribir esto.<\/p>\n

    Tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda algunos amiguis regados por el mundo que hicieron el viaje m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil. Esos todav\u00eda los tengo, afortunadamente.<\/p>\n

    As\u00ed que tomando la ida a Korea del Norte como base, termin\u00e9 armando una ruta de ida y regreso en donde podr\u00eda decirse que sal\u00ed por un lado del globo y regres\u00e9 por el otro.<\/p>\n

    De hecho esta fue la segunda vez que lo hice. Pero fue la primera vez que lo hice por un viaje solo de conocimiento, placer, y amistad, planeado para que fuera as\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    Digo, planeado a grandes rasgos. Hubo muchas cosas que fueron surgiendo en el camino, y que oportunamente les ir\u00e9 contando.<\/p>\n

    Cuando estuve viviendo en Tailandia, en el pedazo de 2010, tambi\u00e9n llegu\u00e9 all\u00e1 por un lado y regres\u00e9 a Colombia por el otro. Pero eso no fue del todo planeado para ser as\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    Luego escribir\u00e9 sobre eso tambi\u00e9n, por supuesto.<\/p>\n

    Por ahora sigamos en esta segunda vuelta, sigamos aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    En algunas ciudades estuve solo de paso, en otras me qued\u00e9 varios d\u00edas (e incluso semanas). La ruta total fue:<\/p>\n

    Como les digo, fue un viaje largo, donde estuve con muchos amigos que todav\u00eda conservo, y donde vi y experiment\u00e9 muchas cosas que me produc\u00edan curiosidad.<\/p>\n

    Hasta el momento ha sido una de las mejores \u00e9pocas de mi vida, y todav\u00eda la recuerdo con mucho cari\u00f1o. En parte por eso quiero escribir esto, para que no se me olvide.<\/p>\n

    Y bueno, yo creo que va a ser muy largo, incluyendo lo que escrib\u00ed antes de esto sobre Korea del Norte<\/a>, Kiev y Chernobyl<\/a>, que fueron parte de este viaje. As\u00ed que este primer art\u00edculo al respecto solo tendr\u00e1 un pedazo del recorrido.<\/p>\n

    La ida a Washington esta vez, en adici\u00f3n del paseo, era para visitar a un primo de mi mam\u00e1 y su familia.<\/p>\n

    \u00bfRecuerdan lo de la mermelada de uchuva saliendo de Rionegro<\/a>? Bueno, era para \u00e9l. Era su antojo extra\u00f1o que no pod\u00eda conseguir por all\u00e1…<\/p>\n

    Mi mam\u00e1 tiene varios primos. Sin duda el que mejor me cae y que he sentido m\u00e1s cercano en la vida es precisamente el que estaba visitando en Washington, entonces todo estaba muy bien.<\/p>\n

    Fuera de las cosas familiares, obviamente hice variada cosa yo solo por all\u00e1 (o sea, la gente trabaja y no tienen por qu\u00e9 andar detr\u00e1s de m\u00ed. Adem\u00e1s a m\u00ed me gusta andar solo por ah\u00ed tambi\u00e9n).<\/p>\n

    Yo a Washington ya hab\u00eda ido varias veces, m\u00e1s que todo por cosa de un trabajo que tuve antes que me hac\u00eda pasar por all\u00e1<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Siempre me gust\u00f3 la ciudad, pero por lo general hab\u00eda ido como de un barrio a otro en funci\u00f3n del trabajo que ten\u00eda que hacer, y fuera de ir a los museos Smithsonian, no me hab\u00eda dado a la tarea de ir a las partes m\u00e1s famosas de la ciudad.<\/p>\n

    Al norte de estos lugares famosos hay un sector que se llama “Embassy Row”<\/strong><\/em> informalmente, literalmente ser\u00eda como “Hilera de Embajadas”<\/strong><\/em>, pero en la pr\u00e1ctica suena mejor “Zona de Embajadas”<\/strong><\/em> o algo as\u00ed.<\/p>\n[aesop_image img=”https:\/\/www.alpharamirez.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/DSC_5935.jpg” panorama=”off” imgwidth=”100%” credit=”Ram\u00edrez.” align=”center” lightbox=”off” captionsrc=”custom” caption=”Washington.” captionposition=”center” revealfx=”inplace” overlay_revealfx=”off” text_float=”off”]\n

    Luego me dirig\u00ed a la Casa Blanca<\/a>.     Lo \u00fanico que hab\u00eda era un par de polic\u00edas diciendo que por favor no usaran tr\u00edpodes altos.<\/p>\n

    Siquiera estaba en Estados Unidos.     Segu\u00ed mi camino pues, y me dirig\u00ed al Washington Monument<\/a>.     Eventualmente llegu\u00e9 al Lincoln Memorial<\/strong><\/em>, de todos los lugares cercanos quiz\u00e1s el que estaba m\u00e1s lleno.     En cosa de un par de kil\u00f3metros estaba recorriendo una cantidad tremenda de lugares hist\u00f3ricos, estaba muy contento.<\/p>\n

    El metro de Washington<\/a> me parece lo m\u00e1ximo, pues, el dise\u00f1o de sus estaciones.     Ten\u00eda que regresar a Miami a recoger cosas que hab\u00eda dejado donde mi amiga Eliza, y a tomar el vuelo hacia Los Angeles que marcar\u00eda el inicio del trayecto a Asia.<\/p>\n

    Esta vez era en Delta por primera vez. En adici\u00f3n a eso, la ruta era en un McDonnell-Douglas MD-90<\/strong><\/strong> hasta Atlanta, y de ah\u00ed en un McDonnell-Douglas MD-88<\/strong><\/strong> hasta Miami.<\/p>\n

    Yo hac\u00eda mucho tiempo quer\u00eda volar en un MD-90<\/strong><\/strong> pero no ve\u00eda donde, y ah\u00ed por fin tuve la oportunidad.<\/p>\n

    Para empezar, construyeron relativamente pocos Aviones, y de esos, muchos volaban en lugares como Jap\u00f3n, China, Finlandia, Arabia Saudita o Suiza.<\/p>\n

    No creo que haya aterrizado un MD-90<\/strong><\/strong> alguna vez en Colombia<\/del>. O bueno, ya que pienso mejor, en los a\u00f1os 90 Air Aruba volaba a Colombia, y ellos ten\u00edan MD-90<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Esa aerol\u00ednea se quebr\u00f3 en 2000. No confundir con Aruba Airlines, que est\u00e1 volando normal al momento de escribir esto.<\/p>\n

    Yo recuerdo haber visto una foto de ellos en Rionegro en un MD-80<\/strong><\/strong>, pero no s\u00e9 si trajeron el MD-90<\/strong><\/strong> alguna vez. Queda la duda ah\u00ed…<\/p>\n

    Los m\u00e1s cercanos eran precisamente los de Delta, y al momento de escribir esto son los \u00fanicos operadores, dicho sea de paso.<\/p>\n

    En MD-88<\/strong><\/strong> tampoco hab\u00eda volado, entonces todo perfecto. Era uno de los que me faltaba para completar toda la serie MD-80<\/strong><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    En el MD-81<\/strong><\/strong>, MD-82<\/strong><\/strong> y MD-87<\/strong><\/strong> volar\u00eda en este viaje tambi\u00e9n. Pero eso se los describo en su momento.
    \nEn el MD-83<\/strong><\/strong> hac\u00eda tiempo en Avianca.<\/p>\n

    Llegu\u00e9 pues en el metro al Aeropuerto desde la casa del primo de mi mam\u00e1, e hice check-in y seguridad r\u00e1pido.<\/p>\n

    Pasa que el vuelo 147<\/strong><\/em> contin\u00faa a Santiago, el vuelo es Washington – Santiago v\u00eda Atlanta.     Como les estaba diciendo, Atlanta a pesar de ser gigante es un Aeropuerto sencillo para conectar. No se demora uno tanto ni siquiera cambiando terminales.<\/p>\n

    Cuando llegu\u00e9 ya estaba mi MD-88<\/strong><\/strong> ah\u00ed, acabado de llegar de Providence, Rhode Island, y listo a salir a Miami, Florida, como Delta 1949<\/strong><\/em>.     Ya estaba en Miami y era casi medianoche.\u00a0 \u00a1Al otro d\u00eda ten\u00eda un largo trayecto!<\/p>\n

    Lo que no esperaba es que me iba a pegar el susto de la vida en ese ratico. Por un momento, no supe d\u00f3nde hab\u00eda metido el pasaporte.<\/p>\n

    Era media noche, al otro d\u00eda de la ma\u00f1ana sal\u00eda para Jap\u00f3n, \u00a1y no sab\u00eda d\u00f3nde carajo estaba el pasaporte!<\/p>\n

    Eventualmente lo encontr\u00e9 no me acuerdo d\u00f3nde. Pero fueron momentos de ira e intenso dolor<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

    En el check-in me etiquetaron las maletas hasta Tokyo.<\/p>\n

    Al principio ten\u00eda dudas de si iba a ser as\u00ed porque aunque compr\u00e9 los dos vuelos (el de Los Angeles y el de Tokyo) en un solo tiquete, las aerol\u00edneas en que iba eran de alianzas rivales.<\/p>\n

    Singapore Airlines era de Star Alliance, mientras que American Airlines era OneWorld.<\/p>\n

    Pero aparentemente ten\u00edan acuerdos en esa ruta, y como estaba en un solo tiquete, pues s\u00ed… Quedaron listas hasta Narita<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

    Igual fue medio raro, hice check-in en una m\u00e1quina y al ratico escuch\u00e9 a uno de los agentes de mostrador gritando mi nombre, como llamando a lista en el colegio.<\/p>\n

    Fui donde me llamaban, verificaron mis documentos y las maletas, y eso fue todo.<\/p>\n

    Me fui a hacer el filtro de seguridad ah\u00ed mismo porque eso en Miami es jodido. Preciso, la fila era larga, pero bueno, yo hab\u00eda llegado a tiempo y no tuve problema.<\/p>\n

    Cuando pas\u00e9 el filtro me fui por ah\u00ed a ver Aviones. Hab\u00eda cosas interesantes a la vista.<\/p>\n

    Este es un Boeing 747-400F<\/strong><\/strong> muy modificado para poder llevar cargas (fuselajes sobre todo) del Boeing 787 Dreamliner<\/strong><\/strong>, ya que las partes de este Avi\u00f3n son construidas en varios lugares del mundo.<\/p>\n

    Ese es el nombre de un Boeing 767-200<\/strong><\/strong> que volaba para una aerol\u00ednea boliviana que se llamaba Aerosur.     Aerosur tambi\u00e9n tambi\u00e9n tuvo un Boeing 747-400<\/strong><\/strong> pintado como un toro, que se llamaba “S\u00faper Tor\u00edsimo”<\/strong><\/em>, ese no lo pude ver no fotografiar. Lo pueden ver haciendo click aqu\u00ed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Sharko antes hab\u00eda volado con Avianca con matr\u00edcula N988AN<\/strong><\/strong>, como pueden ver en esta foto<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Es m\u00e1s, en sus \u00faltimos tiempos con Avianca tambi\u00e9n tuvo unos colores espaciales de Juan Valdez<\/strong><\/em>. M\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre esos colores haciendo click aqu\u00ed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    El vuelo iba a durar cinco horas, lo mismo que se demora uno de Medell\u00edn a New York.<\/p>\n

    La vieja se paraba al ba\u00f1o cada dos minutos. Delante de nosotros hab\u00eda unos brasileros todos contentos hablando duro y ella dec\u00eda:<\/p>\n

    -“Oh, \u00bfno ser\u00e1n terroristas?”.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

    Los brasileros ten\u00edan el pecado capital de ser morenitos y tener barba. Ah, y a lo mejor el portugu\u00e9s le sonaba a \u00e1rabe.<\/p>\n

    Toda la conversaci\u00f3n era de ese tipo. A m\u00ed me toc\u00f3 calmarla y darle c\u00e1tedra de por qu\u00e9 vuelan los Aviones… Dese\u00e9 que no me hubiera hablado mejor.<\/p>\n

    Era como un estereotipo Jersey Shore The Hills<\/strong><\/em> con cierto componente muy en el fondo de haber ido a la universidad y no ser tan tan tonta en el muy profundo fondo, \u00a1pero qu\u00e9 pel\u00edcula!<\/p>\n

    No pude evitar pensar en las viejas de Medell\u00edn que se la pasan viendo realities y diciendo “lo mejorrrrrr”<\/strong><\/em>. Que despero, puajpuaj.<\/p>\n

    Continuamos el vuelo, y al parecer est\u00e1bamos por una aerov\u00eda bastante congestionada.
