    LA VUELTA AL MUNDO<\/mark><\/p>\n

    Mi visita a Korea del Norte<\/a> fue algo muy interesante para m\u00ed, pero llegar all\u00e1 desde aqu\u00ed es tremendo viaje.<\/p>\n

    El pa\u00eds queda casi al otro lado del planeta desde Colombia. Bueno, m\u00e1s t\u00e9cnicamente eso ser\u00eda como en Indonesia, pero ustedes entienden lo que quiero decir (\u00bfcierto?<\/strong><\/em>).<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    El peso colombiano val\u00eda algo, yo ten\u00eda alg\u00fan dinero, algunas millas, y ten\u00eda cierto tiempo disponible. Las circunstancias eran a todas luces mejores que las que hay ahora, al momento de escribir esto.<\/p>\n

    Tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda algunos amiguis regados por el mundo que hicieron el viaje m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil. Esos todav\u00eda los tengo, afortunadamente.<\/p>\n

    As\u00ed que tomando la ida a Korea del Norte como base, termin\u00e9 armando una ruta de ida y regreso en donde podr\u00eda decirse que sal\u00ed por un lado del globo y regres\u00e9 por el otro.<\/p>\n

    De hecho esta fue la segunda vez que lo hice. Pero fue la primera vez que lo hice por un viaje solo de conocimiento, placer, y amistad, planeado para que fuera as\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    Digo, planeado a grandes rasgos. Hubo muchas cosas que fueron surgiendo en el camino, y que oportunamente les ir\u00e9 contando.<\/p>\n

    Cuando estuve viviendo en Tailandia, en el pedazo de 2010, tambi\u00e9n llegu\u00e9 all\u00e1 por un lado y regres\u00e9 a Colombia por el otro. Pero eso no fue del todo planeado para ser as\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    Luego escribir\u00e9 sobre eso tambi\u00e9n, por supuesto.<\/p>\n

    Por ahora sigamos en esta segunda vuelta, sigamos aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    En algunas ciudades estuve solo de paso, en otras me qued\u00e9 varios d\u00edas (e incluso semanas). La ruta total fue:<\/p>\n

    Como les digo, fue un viaje largo, donde estuve con muchos amigos que todav\u00eda conservo, y donde vi y experiment\u00e9 muchas cosas que me produc\u00edan curiosidad.<\/p>\n

    Hasta el momento ha sido una de las mejores \u00e9pocas de mi vida, y todav\u00eda la recuerdo con mucho cari\u00f1o. En parte por eso quiero escribir esto, para que no se me olvide.<\/p>\n

    Y bueno, yo creo que va a ser muy largo, incluyendo lo que escrib\u00ed antes de esto sobre Korea del Norte<\/a>, Kiev y Chernobyl<\/a>, que fueron parte de este viaje. Este art\u00edculo solo ilustra una parte del recorrido.<\/p>\n

    Despu\u00e9s de mi vuelo desde Atlanta y de salir de LaGuardia, llegu\u00e9 al terminal de bus de la Port Authority<\/strong><\/em> y me mont\u00e9 en el bus a Hartford, la capital del estado de Connecticut.<\/p>\n[aesop_parallax img=”https:\/\/www.alpharamirez.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/newyorkhartford.jpg” parallaxbg=”off” captionposition=”bottom-left” lightbox=”off” floater=”off” floaterposition=”left” floaterdirection=”none” overlay_revealfx=”off”]\n

    Esa terminal<\/a> de bus es bastante vieja, y en general se nota. Se ven personajes variopintos, y una que otra pelea verbal.<\/p>\n

    No estaba del todo bien se\u00f1alizada, aunque yo no tuve mucho problema… Pero me imagino que ser\u00eda f\u00e1cil para alguien m\u00e1s perderse all\u00ed.<\/p>\n

    Era un lugar algo rudo, muy ocupado, y lleno de energ\u00eda. Esa misma descripci\u00f3n la he le\u00eddo de toda la ciudad y a lo mejor no est\u00e1 errada.<\/p>\n

    Lo \u00fanico que recuerdo de ese viaje (puesto que era de noche) es que par\u00f3 en un par de pueblitos en el camino, y yo lo \u00fanico que ve\u00eda por todas partes era letreros de ne\u00f3n en espa\u00f1ol de puras iglesias de garaje.<\/p>\n

    Al d\u00eda siguiente me fui a dar una vuelta a New York con un poquito m\u00e1s calma que cuando llegu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

    Yo estaba en esa regi\u00f3n m\u00e1s que todo acompa\u00f1ando a mi amigo y sus cosas universitarias (ten\u00eda una presentaci\u00f3n importante).<\/p>\n

    Hasta termin\u00e9 comiendo pizza con unos compa\u00f1eros y un profesor de ellos turco que se llama Nejac Olgac<\/strong><\/em>. Dicen que es bien cuchilla dando clase, aunque comiendo pizza con uno era un relajo.<\/p>\n

    Pero bueno, estando relativamente cerca de la ciudad, pues por qu\u00e9 no dar una vuelta por all\u00e1.<\/p>\n

    Del mismo modo, no ten\u00eda ning\u00fan plan espec\u00edfico, recuerden que estas cosas eran “casuales”<\/strong><\/em> dentro de la ruta a Asia.<\/p>\n

    Tampoco ten\u00eda mucho dinero disponible para hacer de todo, ya que el viaje era laaaargo, y los objetivos principales eran otros.<\/p>\n

    As\u00ed que simplemente camin\u00e9 y camin\u00e9 todo el d\u00eda, me fui a algunos de los lugares m\u00e1s conocidos, y com\u00ed algo.<\/p>\n

    Desde all\u00ed tom\u00e9 otro bus a New York, el trayecto tom\u00f3 unas tres horas.     Me sorprendi\u00f3 de cierta forma ver mucha publicidad y letreros en espa\u00f1ol en todas partes.     Por supuesto, hay much\u00edsimo latino y gente que habla espa\u00f1ol all\u00e1. Los dominicanos son abundantes, por ejemplo.<\/p>\n

    El ferry es gratis, y si uno no se monta en hora pico, es relajado, sin mucha fila, y f\u00e1cil encontrar el puesto que uno quiera.     Estaba esperando a que anocheciera para subir el Empire State Building<\/strong><\/em>, y tener la hermosa vista disponible<\/a> all\u00ed.     No me dio nostalgia ni entusiasmo ver eso. Nunca me han gustado las chivas ni lo que las rodea (por lo menos en las ciudades -el guaro y el chucu-chucu y todo eso-).<\/p>\n

    Pero bueno, en New York hay de todo, hasta colombianos haciendo bulla de noche en una chiva por Manhattan.<\/p>\n

    El viaje nocturno sali\u00f3 muy bien, recuerdo que el bus hasta ten\u00eda Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

    Era un viaje de unas dos horas, que transcurri\u00f3 en total normalidad. Uno llega al Aeropuerto por un mont\u00f3n de t\u00faneles, es bonito el camino.<\/p>\n

    Mi amiguis me dej\u00f3 en el parqueadero del Aeropuerto de Boston. Desde ah\u00ed hab\u00eda una vista deliciosa a las operaciones, y decid\u00ed tomar fotos por un momento.<\/p>\n

    Yo hab\u00eda le\u00eddo que a las autoridades del Aeropuerto<\/a> no les gustaba mucho que tomaran fotos desde ah\u00ed, pero igual me arriesgu\u00e9. Lo peor que me pod\u00eda pasar es que viniera un vigilante a patearme.<\/p>\n

    Pero nada pas\u00f3, nadie vino, estuve sin molestia alguna. Igual no me qued\u00e9 mucho tiempo (o me dejaba el Avi\u00f3n).<\/p>\n

    Alcanc\u00e9 a ver cositas interesantes como una Cessna 402<\/strong><\/strong> de Cape Air, un McDonnell-Douglas MD-90<\/strong><\/strong> de Delta, un Boeing 747-400<\/strong><\/strong> de Lufthansa despegando, y un Airbus A340-600<\/strong><\/strong> de Virgin Atlantic.<\/p>\n

    Cuando lleg\u00f3 el momento fui al Aeropuerto a hacer las formalidades.     Ah\u00ed me qued\u00e9 viendo los movimientos, aunque en el sector en que estaba todo era US Airways con la excepci\u00f3n de uno que otro Delta.<\/p>\n

    Y como les he dicho, al momento de escribir esto US Airways no existe.     Y bueno, yo hab\u00eda elegido US Airways por lo de siempre. Era aerol\u00ednea nueva para m\u00ed y quer\u00eda probar.<\/p>\n

    Igual que con el vuelo de AirTran a New York, con US Airways tuve suerte y me toc\u00f3 Avi\u00f3n con colores especiales.<\/p>\n
